Okayama prefecture 岡山県
Okayama 【岡山/おかやま】 prefecture is located in Chugoku region.
“Kourakuen”It’s one of the three greatest garden in Japan. It’s was made 300 years ago.The difference
between the other two, is that the whole garden is surrounded by a lake.
It’s a city where the traditional buildings called Nuriya-dukuri still remains. Many walls are all
painted in white, and the contrast with the brown lattice is beautiful.
It’s a town of fiber and Japanese jeans are made here.
“Okayama” prefecture is also famous for “Momotaro”, which is the fairy tale. The story is the man whose name is “Momotaro”(born from peach) go to slay the ogre with animals, using “kibidango” (millet dumpling).
