Mie prefecture 三重県
Mie prefecture is a prefecture where there was a Ninja residence in “Sengoku”(Warring States period).
There are maybe some Ninjya in the mountains… who knows!?
Touring Spot
“Ise-jingu”(伊勢神宮)
This shrine is the No.1 among all the shrines in Japan. During Edo period, about 4 million people visited here all over japan. (The population of that time was approximately 20 million.)
In every 20 years it is completely renovated, but what is surprising is that this structure has not changed from around 700 A.D
The know-how is protected and not extinguished, from since when it was first rebuilt. This structure is only seen in “Ise-Jingu”. And there is a traditional Japanese garden located next to it.
Food
“Matsusaka-ushi”[松坂牛/まつざかうし]
Japanese most famous and finest cow(beef) is raised here. It’s used in many high-class restaurants.
To maintain the quality, some farms give beer or give a massage to the cattle.
You can tell they have passion and pride to raise “matsusaka-ushi”.
