Toukyou station 東京駅
Tokyo station is one of the biggest station in Japan.
HISTORY
Tokyo station was open in December 20th 1914 and it is located in front of imperial palace.
So, this station act as the entrance of Tokyo. Puyi(emperor of Manchukuo) and Charlie Chaplin were visited this station.
In WW2, a part of station was destroyed by an aerial attack, and after that it was temporary measures until it completely restored in 2012.
DESCRIPTION
Tokyo station is the starting point of “Toukaido shinkansen” and “Touhoku shinkansen”.
The number of the arrivals and departures of trains are over 3,000 lines per day, and it connect 32 prefectures.
The station itself is historical building, so you can enjoy the cultural scenery.
Around Tokyo station, called “Marunouchi” is also one of the biggest business town.
There are many high rise office building.
Also, there are imperial palace and diet building near Tokyo station, so this station is not only the entrance of Tokyo but also the famous touring spot.
