HISTORY
“Sensu” is a kind of fan, which born and grew up in Japan.
The origin of “Sensu” were introduced from China in Nara period and developed by Japanese craftman to collapsible fan, using thin sheet of cypress wood.
Then “Sensu” became popular among aristocracy.
They used them for ceremonies and as accessories.
In Edo period, “Sensu” were widespread to commons.
