Aomori no Nebuta-Festival 青森ねぶた祭
DESCRIPTION
“Nebuta matsuri” is japanese summer festival which held in Aomori Pref. People carried big worrier figure with chant “Ressera”. It is counted as the six largest tohoku (northeast japan) festival.
It is held every August 2nd to 7th, at Aomori city in Aomori prefecture.

HISTORY
“Nebuta matsuri” was started as the tool which let the enemy to be careless by using huge lantern and drum.
The inventor was “Sakanoue-Tamuramaro”. The samurai in “heian” period.
“Nebuta matsuri” was registered as important cultural property.
