Takoyaki タコ焼き (Fried Octopus Balls)
“Takoyaki” is the food, which using wheat, egg, water , vegetables and put the octopus in center and bake it in circle.
“Takoyaki” is the famous food in Osaka prefecture.
The origin of “Takoyaki” was born in 1933 at Osaka city.
At first, it was called “Nikuyaki”, it means baked meat.
Later, “Nikuyaki” was affected by “Akashiyaki”, which is the local dishes at Akashi city, it came to use octopus instead of meat.
“Tako” means octopus, so this is the moment of the “Takoyaki” was born.
Nowadays, it become the popular food in the public as snacks and meals.
The ingredients of “Takoyaki” are wheat, egg, water , vegetables and put the octopus in the center.
It use cast iron with half-spherical molds.
Put the ingredients into cast iron, the highlight of the craftsman will start.
As you can see in the movie, they bake it skillfully.
After baked, pour the thick seasoning sauce, mayonnaise, dried bonito shavings and green laver.
