Kushikatsu 串かつ (fried pork on skewers)
DESCRIPTION
“Kushikatsu” is the Japanese deep fried food.
“Kushikatsu” is also called as “Kushiage”.
The recipe is different according to the religion.
Ingredients are “meat” (beef, pork,chicken),
“vegetable” (onion, Leek,Eggplant,Asparagus),
and “seafood” (fish, Leek,Eggplant,Asparagus).
HISTORY
It is started from Edo(around 1600) period.
“Kushikatsu” was provided in fried stand called “tempura stand”.
HOW TO EAT
The eating style of “Kushikatsu” is dip into thinner sauce before eating.
There is the important rules to use thinner sauce.
That is you can’t putting your food after a bite,
because sauce pot is shared among customers.
If you want to dip the thinner sauce after bite,
you can use the sliced cabbage which on the table,
to scoop up sauce from the pot and pour it on your share dish.
