Washlet トイレ (high function toilet)
A “Washlet” is the multiple-use toilet in Japan with a lot of features.
There are numerous functions, so I’ll introduce you some.
Our today’s topic are “washlets”
This is the product name of multi-functional toilets used in Japan.
As you can imagine, an ordinary toilet has only one tank lever to flush the toilet.
On the contrary this is straight-forward for natives and foreigners to use, as it is just broken down to the most necessary feature.
But, this washlet has many buttons.
Let me introduce about the functions of each buttons.
First, you can open the stool and seat in automatically.
Second, you can set up the seat temperature, which is completely different to western toilets.
Also there is warm water you can wash yourself with and many more features.
Also you can change the water pressure, which can be useful for whatever purposes.
We’ll be uploading movies later, where you can see the functionality of said toilets.
If you use one of these washlets for the first time, all the possible settings might be overwhelming (additionally many difficult Kanji are used, like on many kinds of machinery) so please inform yourself about the several functions before visiting Japan.
