“Tempura”【天婦羅/てんぷら】 is one of the famous Japanese food.
It’s also became popular in foreign country.

Today about famous Japanese food “Tempura”.
This is the dish of seafood or vegetables that have been deep fried with “koromo”.
“koromo” is consist of flower and egg.
The process of making “tempura” is this.
First, dip the “koromo” to seafood or vegetables, and then put into the hot oil and deep fried.
The frying time is different depending on the foods, so the techniques of craftsman are required.
The oil is usualy use vegetable oil or common oil and the temperature of oil is generally keep between 160℃~180℃.
Before eating “tempura”, there are some kinds of dipping sauce.
Most common sauce is tentsuyu sauce.
It is made by soup stock, mirin and soy sauce.
Others, use sea salt.
In connection with “tempura”, “tendon” is also the famous food in Japan.
“Tendon” is the food which is “tempura” on the rice.
There is a little difference between “tempura”and “tendon”.
That is sauce.
“Tendon” sauce is bitter than “tempura” sauce and it is thick.
In my opinion, I prefer “tendon” to “tempura”.
There are many “tempura” and “tendon” restaurants in Japan, and the taste is different according to which restaurant you choice.
